Description

You will build and maintain scalable digital manufacturing applications on the Ignition platform for heavy industrial operations.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive industrial web applications using Ignition Perspective, JavaScript, CSS, and Python.
• Extend Ignition components with custom scripting to meet complex business and operational requirements.
• Integrate applications with SQL databases, SAP, SharePoint, Active Directory, OPC, and REST APIs.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate manufacturing workflows into digital solutions.
• Implement error handling, logging, and diagnostics while producing clear technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 5–7 years of web software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Solid experience with SQL databases and relational data models.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems using REST APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments, MES, SCADA, OPC, or IIoT concepts.
• Ability to design modular, maintainable software architectures.
• Experience with industrial data pipelines (Kepware, Canary) is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience with Ignition Perspective or similar industrial platforms.
• Working knowledge of discrete manufacturing (aerospace, automotive, shipbuilding, heavy industry).
