Description

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of software applications for laboratory and business operations while managing a small engineering team.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Own the full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment for critical business applications.
• Drive technical execution as a hands-on lead, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and mentoring team members.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and quality standards in partnership with QA, focusing on risk analysis and test data identification.
• Support Agile processes including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning.
• Ensure all software solutions comply with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, CLIA, CAP, and FDA standards.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years in a technical lead, senior engineer, or equivalent leadership role.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
• Experience with database design and management.
• Strong background in DevOps practices, CI/CD automation, and API development.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience in regulated healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, or life sciences environments.
• Proven ability to work with distributed or offshore development teams.
