Description

You will develop and maintain embedded software for real-time operating systems in a Linux environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain code in Python, C, C++11, and Matlab.
• Develop embedded software for real-time operating systems, with a preference for VxWorks.
• Interface directly with hardware components and develop software user interfaces.
• Implement test automation and version control workflows using Git.
• Communicate solutions to engineers across disciplines and articulate technical needs.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate workplace experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in scripting and coding using Python, C, C++11, and Matlab.
• Experience developing embedded software for real-time operating systems (VxWorks preferred).
• Hands-on experience interfacing with hardware.
• Proficiency with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with object-oriented code design principles.
• Experience in test automation.

Preferred Skills

• Background in Controls Engineering.
• Experience with integration and testing (I&T) of flight software on high-fidelity hardware.
• Experience working with OpenC3 COSMOS.
