Description

You will design, develop, and maintain secure software applications for medical devices using C++ and Python. You own the implementation of cryptographic operations, secure coding practices, and cybersecurity controls throughout the development lifecycle.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software applications using C++ and Python within regulated medical device processes.
• Implement secure coding practices and harden devices against cybersecurity threats.
• Utilize OpenSSL for cryptographic operations, including key management, certificate creation, and validation.
• Participate in code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments.
• Document system configurations, software designs, and security architecture.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience developing software in C++ and Python.
• Strong understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
• Experience applying cybersecurity principles (confidentiality, integrity, availability) to software design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Linux software development environments.
• Experience with Perl or Shell scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Qt application development framework.
• Familiarity with TLS, PKCS, and cryptographic protocols.
• Experience with IEC 62304 and FDA cybersecurity guidance for Class II/III devices.
