Description

You will build tools and processes to manage research portfolios, publication approvals, and data best practices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and review product and system development code in Python and Java.
• Design code for testability using patterns like dependency injection and write comprehensive test cases.
• Triage, debug, and resolve system issues by performing root-cause analysis on hardware, network, or service operations.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and testing infrastructure to ensure system health and maintainability.
• Refactor existing code to address technical debt and improve readability or performance.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms to optimize system scale and efficiency.
• Experience with debugging, triaging, and fixing complex technical issues.
• Ability to extract and leverage information from existing codebases to meet stakeholder needs.
• Knowledge of programming practices, language features, and system management tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with research portfolio management or publication approval workflows.
