Description

You will design, develop, and support mainframe software solutions using COBOL and JCL.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop technical specifications for mainframe applications.
• Analyze and write COBOL and JCL code based on specifications.
• Conduct reviews of design, code, test plans, and test results.
• Prepare and execute unit test plans to ensure coverage.
• Provide post-development support for critical applications.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe development.
• Expertise in COBOL programming and JCL scripting.
• Strong knowledge of VSAM and DB2.
• Ability to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.
• Experience with Catalog Operations in mainframe environments.
• Degree in B.Tech, B.Tech M.Tech (Dual), M.Tech in Software Engineering, Software Systems, or Software Technology.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CICS transaction processing.
• Knowledge of mainframe system workflows in the Banking & Financial Services domain.
