You will develop and debug modem protocol stack software for mobile devices.
Responsibilities
- Debug mobile side issues from the perspective of the modem protocol stack and IMS.
- Analyze network signaling and end-to-end data throughput to locate specific module failures.
- Identify root causes for critical milestone issues within 24-hour windows.
- Collaborate with RIL, Framework, and SIM teams during root cause analysis.
- Manage support tickets with Qualcomm or MTK and implement fixes based on chipset vendor suggestions.
Required Skills
- 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in modem protocol area development.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
- Hands-on experience with UMTS/LTE/5G NR (SA, NSA) protocol stacks including NAS, MM, GMM, EMM, ESM, RRC, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and L1.
- Experience with IMS-related technologies such as SIP, VoLTE, VoWiFi, ViLTE, SMS, VoNR, and ViNR.
- Working knowledge of Android OS architecture and components.
- Proficiency with configuration management tools like Gerrit or Git.
- Experience using QXDM chipsets/tools (QCAT, QXDM) or MTK chipsets (ELT).
Preferred Skills
- Experience using Wireshark for protocol analysis.
- Ability to analyze and resolve data throughput issues.
