Description

You will develop and debug modem protocol stack software for mobile devices.

Responsibilities

  • Debug mobile side issues from the perspective of the modem protocol stack and IMS.
  • Analyze network signaling and end-to-end data throughput to locate specific module failures.
  • Identify root causes for critical milestone issues within 24-hour windows.
  • Collaborate with RIL, Framework, and SIM teams during root cause analysis.
  • Manage support tickets with Qualcomm or MTK and implement fixes based on chipset vendor suggestions.

Required Skills

  • 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in modem protocol area development.
  • Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
  • Hands-on experience with UMTS/LTE/5G NR (SA, NSA) protocol stacks including NAS, MM, GMM, EMM, ESM, RRC, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and L1.
  • Experience with IMS-related technologies such as SIP, VoLTE, VoWiFi, ViLTE, SMS, VoNR, and ViNR.
  • Working knowledge of Android OS architecture and components.
  • Proficiency with configuration management tools like Gerrit or Git.
  • Experience using QXDM chipsets/tools (QCAT, QXDM) or MTK chipsets (ELT).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using Wireshark for protocol analysis.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve data throughput issues.

Education

Any Graduate
