Description

You will implement software designs in embedded, real-time, multi-processor, RTOS, and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Yocto Linux build systems for custom hardware targets.
• Handle custom board bring-up, device tree development, and modifications.
• Partner with FPGA, Electrical, and Mechanical engineers through all design and testing phases.
• Develop kernel space and user space applications using systemd and d-bus.
• Integrate UDEV and USB peripherals into the Linux environment.

Required Skills

• 5-20 years of relevant software engineering experience in embedded systems.
• Expertise in C/C++ and Object-Oriented Design (OOD).
• Strong background in Linux internals, including kernel and user space development.
• Mastery of Yocto administration and development.
• Experience with UEFI and UEFI-based bootloaders.
• Proficient with Git and modular repository patterns.
• Experience with Qualcomm and/or i.MX8 hardware targets.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GStreamer-based pipeline development.
• Automated build setup using Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Scripting in Bash and Python; experience with ADB, JSON, and XML.
