Description

You will support a modernization project for the City of Philadelphia through legacy system migration and database optimization.

Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.
• Troubleshoot SQL performance issues and analyze database bottlenecks.
• Contribute to modernization efforts by migrating, upgrading, or redesigning legacy systems.
• Integrate SQL with backend systems to ensure smooth data flow.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and developers to provide project updates.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in SQL development and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
• Experience working on modernization projects involving legacy system migrations or redesigns.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity onsite in Philadelphia, PA.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of Java, .NET, or Python.
