Description

You will own technical outcomes across multiple platforms, solving complex problems with moderate supervision. You will mentor team members on engineering standards and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex technical issues independently and drive project objectives.
• Mentor peers on software engineering best practices and emerging standards.
• Translate technical requirements and solutions for non-technical audiences.
• Design and implement solutions across diverse technology stacks.
• Optimize database performance through complex SQL and stored procedures.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience across multiple languages.
• Strong proficiency in C++, .NET, Java, Golang, JavaScript, or Python.
• 5+ years of recent C++ experience or demonstrated ability to master it quickly.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as gtest, Cucumber, Behave, or Gherkin.
• Hands-on development experience in Cloud, Linux, and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and TCP/IP socket-level communications.
• Expertise in database design, complex SQL queries, triggers, and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Retail industry experience, specifically with Point of Sale systems or Convenience Store domains.
