Description

You will build and maintain end-to-end Python applications focused on application development rather than data engineering pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications using object-oriented programming principles.
• Build and expose RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Consume and integrate internal and external REST APIs into core applications.
• Use Pandas for data processing, transformation, and analysis within the application layer.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries for application use cases.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions regarding design and implementation.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Python application development.
• Strong proficiency in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Hands-on experience building applications with Python, not just writing isolated scripts.
• Experience developing REST APIs specifically using FastAPI.
• Expertise in REST API consumption and integration.
• Proficiency with Pandas for data manipulation within applications.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and explain complex queries.
• Proven experience in application-level design and coding depth.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Snowflake, DB2, or Sybase.
• Experience with MySQL.
