Description

Deliver AI models for wearable devices and build research prototypes on edge-device plus cloud architectures.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop software systems for research prototypes running on cascaded edge-device and cloud compute architectures.
• Build interactive experiences across smartglasses, cloud, and mobile devices alongside designers and prototypers.
• Integrate machine learning models into the prototype system with ML engineers and researchers.
• Maintain and update the prototype system to support evolving interactive experiences and ML model progress.

Required Skills

• Strong programming ability in C/C++ and Python.
• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Experience with Android development on edge devices like smart glasses and phones.
• Experience with real-time 3D development for AR/VR, including Unity or Unreal.
• Experience developing on Aria glasses or other smartglasses.
• Experience integrating LLMs such as Llama into applications.
• Expert problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating computer vision and machine learning models like real-time hand tracking.
• Strong ability to visualize in 3D and understand wearable device user experiences.
