Description

You will develop software for VR headset hardware, focusing on image optimization, imaging data, and calibration.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement tools for data collection and annotation, including camera exposure/gain control and metadata capture.
• Modify C++ and Python tools to meet new requirements and synchronize software driving robotic arm movement with camera capture.
• Develop data capture scripts and automate image uploads to databases.
• Support camera and illuminator calibration for prototype devices and modify existing calibration algorithms.
• Run evaluations to verify data quality and collaborate with mechanical engineers on prototype fixuturing.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Expertise in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with hardware control software development.
• Experience with camera and light fixture calibration.
• Proficiency in image processing and analysis.
• Knowledge of data engineering and distributed or cloud systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OpenCV.
• Experience with Deep Learning and PyTorch.
