Description

You will enable new CPU and compute technologies for the core product stack by collaborating with cross-functional teams.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software governing hardware platform functionality, including power state management and PCIe error handling.
• Evaluate and integrate upstream Linux kernel patches and system utilities for new CPU generations.
• Prototype early hypervisor software on simulators and pre-production systems.
• Build tooling for CPU performance counters, memory bandwidth, and NUMA utilization.
• Design and implement test strategies for hypervisor interoperability with next-generation CPUs.

Required Skills

• 3-6 years of experience in a product-focused environment.
• Deep understanding of Intel/AMD x86 platform architecture and Linux OS internals.
• Hands-on experience with Linux kernel development and device drivers for I/O subsystems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Rust, and C/C++.
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi and KVM/QEMU.
• Familiarity with system-level performance characterization and open-source hardware support.
• Knowledge of performance profiling tools like perf and CPU microarchitecture features.

Preferred Skills

• Experience building scalable systems software and automation frameworks.
