Description

You will develop data collection tooling and calibration software for AR/VR headset hardware development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement tools for data collection, including camera exposure/gain control, image stream capture, and automated database uploads.
• Develop and modify software in C++ and Python to meet new requirements for data capture and robotic arm synchronization.
• Execute evaluations to automatically verify data quality and flag anomalies for investigation.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to develop hardware fixturing for calibration stations.
• Modify calibration algorithms to process collected images and output parameters in required formats.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Expertise in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience in hardware control software development.
• Experience with camera and light fixture calibration.
• Background in image processing and analysis.
• Knowledge of data engineering and distributed or cloud systems.
• Strong problem-solving and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time across engineering and research teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, and deep learning.
