Description

You will build and scale server-side features for high-traffic applications including App Store, Music, and TV+.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build large-scale web-based projects with a focus on performance, latency, and maintainability.
• Engineer highly performant implementations by analyzing requirements from cross-functional teams.
• Develop, advocate for, and build consensus on coding best practices and standard methodologies.
• Debug complex systems and ensure solutions meet stringent latency requirements.

Required Skills

• Expertise in developing and scaling Java web applications.
• Experience with NoSQL solutions such as Cassandra, Voldemort, Redis, or Memcached.
• Experience building data pipelines using Kafka, Spark, and HDFS.
• Experience with Solr or Lucene.
• Strong object-oriented design, analysis, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with object-relational databases and Hibernate.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, and SSL protocols.
• Proficiency in writing effective unit and integration tests.

Preferred Skills

• Experience crafting web applications that scale to millions of requests per second.
• Knowledge of JVM-hosted languages like Clojure.
