Description

You will convert and scale existing PHP systems into containerized, autoscaling microservices capable of handling high transaction volumes.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Convert internal tools into public-facing SaaS products, including high-throughput tokenization and redirect services.
• Refactor legacy PHP and cron-driven workflows into Node.js services.
• Design and implement multi-tenant architecture with customer isolation and environment segmentation.
• Improve system reliability, performance, and correctness across all services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience building production systems at scale.
• Strong backend engineering background with experience refactoring legacy PHP systems.
• Proficiency in Node.js and Docker for containerized workloads.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Expertise with SQL at scale (MySQL/RDS), focusing on transactions, indexing, and performance.
• Familiarity with building systems resilient to traffic spikes and high volumes of writes.
• Experience migrating monoliths or cron-based systems into services.
• Knowledge of SaaS multi-tenancy patterns.

Preferred Skills

• HTML and CSS proficiency.
