Description

You will build and maintain backend infrastructure, including datastores, APIs, and event streams, to support catalog, inventory, and order systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend systems, including datastores, APIs, and event streams.
• Decompose monolithic applications into microservices and ensure performance under increasing data loads.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate backend systems and ship iterative improvements.
• Deliver greenfield development and manage deployment pipelines.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 7+ years of large-scale microservice application development.
• Expertise in .NET Core and C#.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience deploying and managing services in AWS.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS including PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• Experience with NoSQL technologies including MongoDB and Redis.
• Experience with Java.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Kafka.
• Knowledge of data sharding strategies and automated testing.
• Background in eCommerce or high-volume transaction-based applications.
