Description

You will implement and maintain software features for internet and cloud data center traffic forwarding.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write functional and design specifications for traffic forwarding features.
• Implement solutions for small-sized problems within EOS software using C, C++, and Python.
• Develop test plan specifications and implement automated tests to execute them.
• Debug issues identified by automated tests and apply fixes.
• Mentor junior engineers and review team members' specifications and implementations.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of post-graduate work experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python.
• Working knowledge of UNIX or Linux environments.
• Familiarity with L2/L3 networking, including IP routing protocols like RIP, OSPF, BGP, or IS-IS.
• Ability to utilize, test, and debug packet forwarding engines and vendor-provided hardware libraries.
• Applied understanding of software engineering principles.
• Strong problem-solving and software troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to design and implement solutions for small problems independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience collaborating with Customer Support and System Test Engineers to resolve network and test problems.
