Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise search solutions and manage Elasticsearch clusters to ensure high availability, scalability, and relevance.
• Architect and maintain self-hosted Elasticsearch clusters, including node configuration, replication, and sharding strategies.
• Implement backup and recovery processes for Elastic indices.
• Develop and optimize semantic search capabilities using machine learning models (e.g., BERT-based ELSER).
• Enhance search relevancy through role-based indexing and boosting strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Elastic with knowledge management tools and improve user experience.
• Monitor cluster performance and apply best practices for scalability and observability.

Skills Required:

• Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including cluster architecture, indexing, sharding, and replication
• Experience designing and managing enterprise-scale search solutions
• Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud-based infrastructure
• Experience with system and application integration across platforms
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster management for Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with semantic search and ML-based search models (e.g., BERT, ELSER)
• Ability to improve search relevance using indexing strategies, boosting, and role-based access
• Experience monitoring and tuning performance for scalability and reliability
• Working knowledge of Java and/or Python (preferred)
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working in Agile development environments
