Description

Lead technical strategy, architecture, and a development team while owning complex coding, customer-facing problem solving, and staff management.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and offshore engineering resources to solve complex business needs and define technical strategy.
• Write advanced, complex code, design data models, and serve as the primary technical expert for coding issues.
• Partner directly with customers and stakeholders to translate ambiguous pain points into crisp problem statements and validate workflows.
• Manage system and user acceptance testing cycles to ensure quality and adherence to enterprise architectural standards.
• Oversee full staff lifecycle including hiring, performance management, coaching, and resource planning.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of software development experience with 5+ years in management.
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, and Windows environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and leading large offshore resources.
• Proven ability to leverage technical metrics to drive business decisions and manage complex systems.
• Expertise in architectural principles, database design, optimization, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Managed Services and Staff Augmentation models.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-engineering audiences.

Preferred Skills

• BS in Engineering or Computer Science; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience utilizing alternative sourcing models.
