Description

You will manage and modernize legacy COBOL-based applications on fault-tolerant platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL applications.
• Troubleshoot and optimize systems running on Stratus fault-tolerant platforms.
• Collaborate on legacy system modernization and integration projects.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of COBOL programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of Stratus and VOS operating systems.
• Proficiency in VSAM, CICS, and DB2.
• Experience with high-availability and fault-tolerant systems.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in legacy environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and modern languages (Java, Python).
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
