You lead airborne software and electronic hardware certification, compliance, and supplier audits for global avionic programs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess suppliers' airborne software and electronic hardware certification plans and designs.
• Perform technical and process audits at supplier facilities and conduct safety of flight reviews.
• Assess software and hardware test results to determine final compliance status.
• Lead resolution of safety, compliance, or technical deficiencies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced professionals and contribute to the Software and Electronics domain roadmap.

Required Skills

• Minimum 15 years in technical engineering, including at least 10 years in aeronautics.
• Minimum 5 years in FPGA or ASIC development and/or embedded software for aerospace applications.
• Thorough knowledge of Means of Compliance: RTCA DO-178B/C, DO-248B/C, DO-254, DO-330, EASA CM-SWCEH-001/002, and FAA AC 20-115D/20-152A.
• Experience with requirements capture environments such as DOORS or JAMA.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Ada95, Assembly, Python, and hardware description languages.
• Knowledge of embedded computer architectures, operating systems, and real-time executives.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).

Preferred Skills

• University engineering degree in Electronics, Software, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
