Description

Senior Automation Test Engineer in Rancho Cordova, CA. You will own the test automation strategy for complex web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts for web UI and database testing.
• Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle from initial reporting through to closure.
• Plan, estimate, design, and execute manual and automated test cases.
• Mentor team members and conduct peer reviews to ensure coding and security standards.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing for complex web projects.
• Proficiency in Python using OOP concepts to build reusable automation scripts.
• Experience with Java and willingness to transition to Python.
• Proficiency in testing RESTful services using Rest Assured and Postman.
• Strong SQL skills for creating and modifying queries for backend testing.
• Experience with web technologies including HTML5, CSS, and React.js.
• Ability to create and validate XML files.
• Unix/Linux command line experience.
• Working knowledge of AWS fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes containerization.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the healthcare industry.
