Description

This role focuses on ensuring software quality within aerospace and defense projects.

Responsibilities

• Interface with systems, software development, test/evaluation personnel, and project managers.
• Review and approve systems, software, and test equipment requirements, design, and test documentation for compliance.
• Participate in engineering program activities to assure compliance with contractual and company process requirements.
• Participate in the software change control process boards.
• Mentor and train junior employees as required.

Required Skills

• Minimum 11 years of directly related work experience in aerospace/defense software processes (RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498).
• Experience with software requirements development.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Knowledge of software design, coding (C/C++, Ada, or other embedded languages), and embedded software/hardware verification.
• Basic understanding of software development and testing methods.
• Familiarity with audit techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective written, oral, listening, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with government or FAA projects.
