You will own the quality assurance and compliance of aerospace/defense software systems.
Responsibilities
Interface with systems, software development, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers.
Review and approve systems, software, and test equipment requirements, design, and test documentation for compliance with process requirements and standards.
Participate with engineering counterparts to ensure processes and products meet contractual and company standards.
Participate in the software change control process boards.
Mentor and train junior employees as required.
Required Skills
11+ years of directly related work experience in aerospace/defense software processes (e.g., RTCA DO-178c, RTCA 278a, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498).
Demonstrated understanding of software development and testing methods.
Experience in software requirements development.
Ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Familiarity with embedded software/hardware verification.
Proficiency in C/C++ or Ada.
Knowledge of Software Processes and software quality assurance.
Minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
