Description

You will own the quality assurance and compliance of aerospace/defense software systems.

Responsibilities

• Interface with systems, software development, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers.
• Review and approve systems, software, and test equipment requirements, design, and test documentation for compliance with process requirements and standards.
• Participate with engineering counterparts to ensure processes and products meet contractual and company standards.
• Participate in the software change control process boards.
• Mentor and train junior employees as required.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of directly related work experience in aerospace/defense software processes (e.g., RTCA DO-178c, RTCA 278a, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498).
• Demonstrated understanding of software development and testing methods.
• Experience in software requirements development.
• Ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Familiarity with embedded software/hardware verification.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Ada.
• Knowledge of Software Processes and software quality assurance.
• Minimum of a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
