Description

You ensure software quality for aerospace and defense projects by validating requirements, designs, and test documentation against contractual and company standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Interface with systems, development, and test personnel to assure compliance with process requirements.
• Review and approve systems, software, and test equipment documentation for regulatory adherence.
• Participate in software change control process boards and engineering program activities.
• Mentor and train junior employees on quality processes and standards.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of directly related work experience in aerospace/defense software processes.
• Deep knowledge of RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, and MIL-STD-498.
• Experience with software requirements development and change control.
• Ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Understanding of software design, coding (C/C++, Ada, or embedded languages), and verification.
• Familiarity with software testing methods and audit techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with government or FAA projects.
