Description

You will own quality assurance and compliance for aerospace and defense software systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve systems, software, and test equipment requirements, design, and test documentation for compliance with process standards.
• Interface with systems, development, test, and project management personnel to ensure products meet contractual and company standards.
• Participate in software change control process boards.
• Mentor and train junior employees as required.

Required Skills

• 11+ years of directly related work experience in aerospace/defense software processes.
• Deep knowledge of RTCA DO-178c, RTCA DO-278a, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, or MIL-STD-498.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Ada.
• Demonstrated understanding of software development, testing methods, and requirements development.
• Experience in embedded software/hardware verification.
• Ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Knowledge of Software Processes and software quality assurance.

Preferred Skills

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
