Description

Perform advanced security testing on pre-production automotive embedded systems and firmware.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze security requirement specifications against actual implementation.
• Execute penetration testing and reverse engineering of software and firmware.
• Research new attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Communicate technical findings, remediation guidance, and recommendations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software security or related fields.
• Proficiency in C, C++, ARM, and Python for tool development.
• Experience with reverse engineering and binary analysis tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
• Knowledge of embedded security features like Secure Boot.
• Experience with Linux and other embedded operating systems.
• Understanding of core security concepts including cryptography and encryption.
• Ability to evaluate system security using standard controls like SELinux.
• Familiarity with CWE types.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of software fuzzing techniques (e.g., AFL, BAP) and symbolic execution (e.g., angr).
• Experience with vulnerability analysis using CVSS scoring.
• Background in code audits, assessments, or requirements verification.
