Description

You will design and develop distributed services for durability, consistency, replication, and lifecycle management while owning technical problems end-to-end.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement large-scale distributed storage services, including multi-petabyte S3 object stores and scale-out NAS platforms.
• Optimize system performance, latency, and throughput across compute, memory, IO, and networking using data-driven profiling.
• Enhance system resilience through observability, telemetry, failure injection, and chaos testing.
• Write clear design docs, RFCs, and PRDs, and perform rigorous code reviews.
• Provide technical leadership by setting architectural direction for critical AI data platform storage systems.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in systems-level development.
• Strong expertise in Java and/or C/C++.
• Deep understanding of Linux operating systems and internals.
• Proven experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with storage systems (object storage, file systems, or block storage).
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Experience with high-performance, low-latency system optimization.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and distributed system protocols.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing.

Preferred Skills

• System-level programming experience including kernel, firmware, or device drivers.
• Knowledge of security best practices (TLS, authN/Z, encryption standards).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and release engineering.
