Description

Design and oversee technical solutions for new healthcare use cases, focusing on system architecture, code delivery, and mentorship.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design overall system architectures and develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for new use cases.
• Review and approve system designs, code deliverables, and configurations.
• Coach and mentor developers on application code, interfaces, modules, and components.
• Create technical documentation, testing plans, and transition/maintenance plans for state staff.
• Manage Incident Response Plans (IRP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), and technical exception requests (TRB).

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software architecture or related roles.
• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript programming.
• Strong SQL, XML, and HL7 version 2.x messaging skills.
• Expertise in HL7 FHIR, CDA standards, and related document types.
• Experience with healthcare vocabularies including LONIC, SNOMED, and RxNorm.
• Knowledge of Health Information Exchange (HIE) and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE).
• Hands-on experience with Orion Health Rhapody Integration Engine (7.x) and Rhapody Developer Kit (RDK).
• Ability to perform custom message payload translation (JSON, XML, HL7 to proprietary formats).
• Experience with web services (SOAP, REST, OAuth), TCP connections, and MLLP.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of transport encryption and security including TLS and mutual authorization via certificates.
• Experience overseeing Health Service ESB’s SSP, ATO, and POA&A&M processes.
