Description

You will design and implement methodologies to enable the Health Services ESB to track message transmission and support interfaces connecting to the Data Hub.

Responsibilities

• Design overall system architectures and develop solutions for new use cases.
• Review and approve system designs, code deliverables, and configurations.
• Coach and mentor developers while overseeing application integration for business analysts and cross-matrix teams.
• Produce Systems Engineering Methodology (SEM) deliverables, technical documentation, and transition plans for state staff.
• Maintain Incident Response Plans (IRP), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), and manage SSP/ATO/POA&M requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software architecture or integration roles.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and XML.
• Deep expertise in HL7 version 2.x messaging and HL7 FHIR standards.
• Hands-on experience with Rhapsody Integration Engine (7.x) and Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK) for custom filters and mappers.
• Knowledge of healthcare vocabularies including LONIC, SNOMED, and RxNorm.
• Experience with Health Information Exchange (HIE) and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) frameworks.
• Strong understanding of web services including SOAP, REST, OAUTH, and TCP connections.
• Practical knowledge of transport encryption, TLS, and mutual authorization via certificates.
• Ability to perform custom message payload translation between JSON, XML, and HL7.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing vendor support for Rhapsody licensing and software.
