Description

Manual Quality Assurance Analyst responsible for ensuring software solutions meet business requirements and are free of defects. You work independently to define test strategies, execute testing cycles, and evaluate usability across Waterfall and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop test cases and execute Quality Assurance Testing in alignment with project schedules and SDLC standards.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to clarify requirements and ensure adherence to project objectives.
• Manage defect tracking, including identification, severity setting, and remediation, while maintaining traceability to user stories.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) training sessions and defect triage meetings with stakeholders.
• Prepare test data, ensure QA environment readiness, and provide analysis for Go/No-Go decisions.

Required Skills

• 3 to 5 years of hands-on manual testing experience.
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile project teams.
• Ability to analyze, identify, and document software defects and usability issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for working with Business Analysts, Tech Leads, and UI/UX Designers.
• Experience with defect management tools and maintaining test documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in Quality Assurance testing.
• 24 semester hours in IT coursework or equivalent degree.
