Description

You will own software testing and analysis for embedded systems, focusing on Python-based projects and hardware integration.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Execute embedded software testing, including worst-case timing, memory margin, and structural coverage analysis.
• Analyze data coupling and control coupling using Python scripts and tools like LabVIEW or PCAN Explorer.
• Build and modify test harnesses and fixtures, reading electrical schematics and datasheets.
• Operate standard test equipment (power supplies, DAQs, function generators) and handle higher voltage electronics.
• Manage software configuration and build pipelines using Git/GitHub.

Required Skills

• Embedded Software testing mastery and proficiency in Embedded C.
• Strong Python experience, preferably with GUI frameworks like Tkinter or QT.
• Hands-on experience with CAN, SPI, and I2C protocols.
• Proficiency with LabVIEW, PCAN Explorer, or equivalent CAN network analysis software.
• Experience with F28335 processors and NI DAQ systems.
• Knowledge of DO-178 standards and GUI testing tools like Squish.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work with mechatronics systems.
• Vim, regular expressions, and text-based data processing tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 270VDC or 115VAC electronics.
• Background in hardware/software integration.
