Description

You will own the software testing and validation lifecycle for embedded systems, ensuring reliability through rigorous code and hardware-in-the-loop analysis.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Perform software analyses including worst-case timing, memory margin, structural coverage, and data/control coupling.
• Develop and maintain test harnesses, fixtures, and Python-based GUIs (Tkinter/QT) for automated testing.
• Execute embedded software testing using Embedded C and LabVIEW, leveraging NI DAQ and standard test equipment.
• Analyze CAN networks using PCAN Explorer or equivalent tools, ensuring compliance with DO-178 standards.
• Manage software configuration and build pipelines using Git/GitHub, integrating continuous integration and deployment methodologies.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software testing and validation.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and GUI development (Tkinter or QT preferred).
• Strong understanding of CAN, SPI, and I2C communication protocols.
• Experience with Embedded C and familiarity with TI F28335 Processor.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, datasheets, and work with higher voltage electronics (270VDC/115VAC).
• Hands-on experience with standard test equipment: power supplies, DAQs, function generators.
• Proficiency in Vim/Regular Expressions for text-based data processing.
• Knowledge of DO-178 certification standards.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with GUI testing tools such as Squish.
• Familiarity with mechatronics systems and hardware/software integration.
