Description

You will assemble, maintain, and architect hardware/software systems for systems neuroscience research. You are responsible for the full lifecycle of data pipelines, from acquisition to analysis and publication.

Responsibilities

• Architect multi-stage pipelines to analyze and combine heterogenous datasets for scientific discovery.
• Curate and standardize large databases of neurophysiological recordings, including data summaries and visualizations.
• Document data organization standards and implement backup frameworks for raw datasets.
• Ensure compliance with Federal data retention policies and develop interfaces for dataset querying.
• Resolve code bugs, update documentation, and train new users on software and database tools.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python and C for custom coding tools and application development.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying systems and applications.
• Comfortable manipulating large timeseries datasets and applying data modeling techniques.
• Skills in hardware systems engineering design and computer hardware assembly.
• Ability to define and solve logical problems for highly technical applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in data curation.

Preferred Skills

• MS or PhD in a STEM field with a computational component.
• Experience leading structured team development projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical clients.
