Description

You will develop and maintain scripted applications using big data technologies and cloud infrastructure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test modifications to existing scripted applications.
• Debug and document code to ensure system stability and maintainability.
• Implement data processing workflows using distributed computing frameworks.
• Manage data integration and storage across various database systems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency with Python and Scala.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience using Hive, Kafka, and Pig.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Amazon EMR.
• Experience with Cassandra, HBase, and MongoDB.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries.
• Familiarity with Sqoop, MapReduce, and Cloudera.
• Willingness to travel within the USA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Flume and Oracle or SQL Server.
