Description

You will manage the implementation, maintenance, and operations of SolarWinds and its supporting infrastructure in Austin, TX.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, and document NCM, NPM, Server & Application Monitor ALX, and Orion Enterprise Operations Console in failover mode.
• Integrate pollers across multiple sites and configure alerting thresholds.
• Design and document system architecture and SQL integrations.
• Develop scripts to automate processes and build custom dashboards and reports.
• Perform network monitoring and troubleshoot VMWare issues in large virtual environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications network problem resolution.
• 3+ years of experience in systems administration and formal technical documentation.
• 2+ years of experience with network monitoring products, specifically NCM, NPM, and ALX.
• 2+ years of experience in Linux or Windows System Administration.
• Experience with SQL integrations.
• Proficiency with SNMPv3, traffic analysis tools, NetFlow, and NetFlow collectors.
• Ability to run network device discoveries and build logical topologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with WAN/LAN technologies and network monitoring in virtual environments.

Preferred Skills

• Texas State Agency network administrator experience.
• Network certifications.
• ServiceNow auto-ticketing integration experience.
