Description

You will own the Solr search platform across non-prod and prod environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and secure operations while supporting ELK stack PoCs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead Solr administration, operating Solr Cloud (Zookeeper, shards, replicas) and enforcing security (TLS, RBAC) and high availability.
• Perform deep JVM tuning (heap, GC, threads) and diagnose search performance issues including CPU, latency, and memory leaks.
• Optimize high-volume indexing strategies and commit policies to maintain throughput.
• Design and run Elasticsearch clusters for PoCs and production, tuning mappings, shards, and query DSL.
• Execute capacity planning, benchmarking, and RCA for search platforms, maintaining documentation and runbooks.

Required Skills

• Hands-on Apache Solr administration with deep expertise in SolrCloud operations and JVM tuning.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for performance, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with TLS, RBAC, HA, and zero-downtime upgrades.
• Proficiency with the Elastic Stack (ELK), including Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
• Experience supporting Lucidworks Fusion installation, pipelines, and upgrades.
• Observability tooling experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Spark connectors and ingestion pipeline tuning.
• Implementing observability and alerting systems.
