Description

You will design, develop, and maintain search engine solutions using Apache Solr, owning the release pipeline and ensuring scalable microservices handle large data volumes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, review, and test Solr search engine components in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain advanced query rewriting functionality and search relevance models.
• Build efficient distributed, scalable microservices on AWS.
• Index, query, and analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Write automated unit test cases for the Solr search engine.

Required Skills

• 5 to 10 years of experience with Apache Solr.
• 3 to 4 years of experience designing and developing search solutions using Apache Solr.
• In-depth understanding of Solr, Elasticsearch, and Lucene.
• Proficiency in Java, including JVM tuning and debugging.
• Experience with SQL and database technologies.
• Experience maintaining and designing applications on AWS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of search engine technologies, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with CI/CD DevOps tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies.
• Experience with Python or Java for automation and tooling.
• Understanding of Linux for performance tuning and debugging.
