Key Responsibilities
Architect and Design:
- Partner with tech leads to design integration patterns for Third-Party SaaS platforms, internal systems, and external partners.
- Develop end‑to‑end solution proposals that cover functional design, data flows, security, and operational requirements.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, interface catalogs, and technical specifications.
- Conduct Buy versus Build analysis that compares architecture fit, cost factors, implementation effort, and long‑term maintainability.
Third-Party SaaS and Platform Capabilities
- Assess Third-Party SaaS platform capabilities against business needs and integration requirements.
- Map technical features of existing and proposed Third-Party SaaS solutions to domain use cases.
- Review vendor roadmaps and highlight risks or gaps relevant to compliance‑sensitive processes.
- Provide architectural oversight for configuration, customization, and data extraction strategies.
Technical Leadership:
- Demonstrated ability to work with enterprise architecture team and contributing to developing and realizing the target state.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring all organizational architecture standards, patterns frameworks, and industry best practices in architecture and design are followed.
- Capable of performing occasional code reviews and providing guidance on coding best practices.
- Be a thought leader on identifying and developing new standard patterns, solution building blocks, and best practices to enable efficient solution design and delivery.
Solution Level Architecture Support:
- Maintain an end-to-end domain level architecture landscape views - logical, security, and deployment diagrams - current state and target state landscape views.
- Develop and maintain OKR / Project level solution architecture and design - logical, security, and deployment arch views diagrams, low level solution design, ensuring compliance with NFR and other solution patterns.
Integration and Data Architecture
- Define integration approaches using APIs, event streams, ETL pipelines, and workflow automation.
- Validate data models, data quality requirements, and retention standards for regulated domains.
- Work with security partners to align designs with access control models, audit needs, and data privacy requirements.
Governance and Standards
- Constructively challenge enterprise architecture recommendations when alternatives provide better outcomes for the business and the enterprise.
- Align design proposals with engineering standards, cloud patterns, and operational practices.
- Support architecture reviews, risk assessments, and technical approvals.
Collaboration and Delivery Support
- Work with Scrum teams to guide architecture during refinement, sprint planning, and technical decisions.
- Provide solution oversight through development, testing, and release planning.
- Communicate architecture choices, trade‑offs, and impacts to business and technical stakeholders.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation that supports the development process, including architecture decision records, design specs, system architecture diagrams, and reusable patterns.
Solution Governance:
- Presenting and obtaining approval on solution design from governance bodies.
Required Experience
- Experience in software engineering, Experience in solution architecture for enterprise systems.
- Proven record designing end‑to‑end solutions across Third-Party SaaS apps, custom apps, and integrations.
- Strong at translating business goals into target state and incremental roadmaps.
- Hands‑on experience integrating Third-Party SaaS platforms using REST, webhooks, GraphQL, and event streaming (e.g., Kafka).
- Familiarity with iPaaS/ESB (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Azure Integration Services).
- Experience with API management, versioning, throttling, and monetization where applicable.
- Depth in at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP), including networking, identity, storage, and managed services.
- Identity and access management: SSO, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC; RBAC/ABAC authorization patterns.
- Compliance‑aware design for regulated data (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA depending on use case).
- Governance participation: ADRs, architecture reviews, risk assessments, threat modeling (e.g., STRIDE)
