Responsibilities

• Engage with customer architecture teams to map and understand product ecosystems.
• Provide technical designs and architecture patterns, specifically for microservices.
• Collaborate with development teams to oversee the implementation of solutions.
• Contribute to new technologies, patterns, and architectural ideas.
• Ensure individual software projects adhere to technology standards.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in web development and the full SDLC.
• 3+ years of Scala functional programming in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Scala, Play2 framework, and the Typelevel ecosystem (Fs2, Cats Effect, Http4s).
• Experience with Elm or a JS framework with state management (React, Angular, Vue).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern web standards.
• Experience with RESTful applications and microservices architecture.
• Experience with MongoDB and general SQL/NoSQL database management.
• Experience with Kafka, Hermes, Okta, and AWS (primarily EC2).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and feature branching strategies.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Jira, and GitHub.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Akka Framework or GraphQL.
