Description

Design and own end-to-end solution architecture for Java-based enterprise applications deployed on Google Cloud Platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Translate product and business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud-native designs.
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to development teams throughout delivery cycles.
• Define and enforce architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across services.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives using GKE, Cloud Run, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Conduct architecture reviews, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong Java/J2EE foundation.
• 3+ years in a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or senior technical leadership role.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform services.
• Proven experience designing microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures.
• Strong grasp of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Deployment Manager).
• Excellent communication skills to present complex designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) required. No visa sponsorship available.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or Quarkus frameworks.
• Familiarity with data platforms (BigQuery, Dataflow, Looker) or financial services domain knowledge.
