Description

Own end-to-end system design for new and existing applications, translating functional requirements into detailed High-Level and Low-Level Designs. Define non-functional requirements and validate architecture against performance, scalability, and security standards.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, defining API contracts and integration patterns.
• Design and guide deployment on AWS, including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML capabilities, such as LLM features, RAG pipelines, and model serving.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and present architectural trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Create architecture documentation, including system diagrams, data models, and decision records.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in system/solution design and hands-on Java development.
• Deep expertise in Java (8/11/17+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful services, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway).
• Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and event-driven architectures (Kafka).
• Ability to design for scalability, high availability, and observability.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Solutions Architect certification (Associate or Professional).
• Exposure to AI/ML stacks including LLM integration, vector databases, or TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and legacy migration projects.
