Description

Lead the migration of data platforms from Informatica to Microsoft Azure, owning the architecture, governance implementation, and pipeline modernization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical execution of Informatica to Azure migration, covering assessment, implementation, and support phases.
• Design target-state architectures leveraging Azure OneLake, Fabric, and Power BI while leading roadmap planning.
• Translate Informatica Axon governance models into Purview Governance Domains, including RBAC/ABAC frameworks.
• Modernize Azure Data Factory pipelines to replace Informatica PowerCenter and IDQ mappings.
• Architect automated governance workflows, sensitivity labels, and DLP policies across Azure Databricks and Snowflake.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture and migration projects.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Purview, including Data Catalog, Lineage, and Governance mapping.
• Strong proficiency with Azure Fabric, Azure OneLake, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and SQL.
• Knowledge of Informatica ecosystem (EDC, Axon, IDQ, DPM) for legacy migration context.
• Programming skills in Python and PySpark for data processing and automation.
• Experience with REST APIs, Apache Atlas, and metadata extraction techniques.
• Ability to design data quality frameworks, profiling, and validation logic.

Preferred Skills

• Experience designing Microsoft Information Protection sensitivity labels and unified security models.
• Familiarity with Power BI report integration within the modernized data stack.
