Description

Own the end-to-end Twilio platform architecture for healthcare communication migration programs. Define and enforce the "Thin Studio, Smart API" pattern, governing logic distribution between Twilio Studio and the .NET Voice API backend. Design shared infrastructure services consumed by all delivery teams, including Redis-backed Call Session Stores, CloudFront CDN audio serving, and carrier redundancy configurations.

Responsibilities

• Architect complex multi-tenant IVR systems supporting 500+ simultaneous call flows, including multi-level DTMF menus, ASR workflows, and on-call routing chains.
• Design and deliver target-state cloud architectures for migrations from on-premises telephony (Genesys, Cisco, Avaya) to Twilio.
• Implement Twilio webhook reliability patterns, handling signature validation, async responses for the 15-second timeout, status/recording callbacks, and idempotent handlers.
• Build and operate Redis-backed distributed state management for stateless webhook systems, maintaining call context across multiple hops.
• Configure AWS audio serving patterns for IVRs, including S3 hosting, CloudFront CDN setup, cache-warming strategies, and pre-signed URL generation for HIPAA-compliant prompts.

Required Skills

• 5+ years hands-on production experience with Twilio Programmable Voice, Twilio Studio, and TwiML at enterprise scale.
• Deep knowledge of Twilio Studio execution model, widget types, HTTP Request limitations, and execution step constraints.
• Expert-level TwiML authoring, understanding verb interactions and execution behavior under load.
• 3+ production Twilio migrations led from legacy telephony platforms to cloud architecture.
• Strong proficiency in .NET (C# / ASP.NET Core) for Voice API backend services, webhook controllers, and Twilio SDK usage.
• Experience designing distributed state management using Redis for call session state.
• Familiarity with AWS S3 and CloudFront for audio serving and cache management.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
