You will lead the evolution of API strategy and define standards for scalable, observable API ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce API guidelines and best practices across the organization via internal API Work Groups.
  • Lead the design and implementation of API Gateway solutions and integrate APIs into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive API observability, including logging, tracing, and alerting.
  • Define and implement API security strategies covering authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Drive innovation by introducing new tools and techniques to improve API lifecycle management.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of proven experience as an API Architect or in a similar senior technical role.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with OpenAPI Specification (OAS).
  • Strong expertise in API Gateway technologies, including OCI API Gateway or similar.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience implementing API observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, specifically Java or .NET.
  • Practical experience working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • In-depth knowledge of API security concepts (OAuth2, JWT, rate limiting).
