You will design and engineer complex solutions for IT/OT infrastructure, telecommunications, and software applications within the Electrical Grid Monitoring and Energy Management sectors.
Responsibilities
- Design engineering solutions for Distributed Energy Resource (DER), renewable integration, and power transmission projects including DMS and OMS.
- Provide technical expertise for both pre-sales activities and technical solution delivery projects.
- Document engineering requirements for customer projects and review RFP requirements for proposal development.
- Evaluate third-party OEM and partner technical offers and solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and Product Development teams to align engineering requirements.
- Support Technical Solutions Delivery and Project Engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience designing engineering solutions in the Energy & Utilities domain.
- Experience with Energy Automation systems, IIoT, and communication protocols such as Modbus TCP, DNP3, IEC61850, IEC104, OPC, or OCPP.
- Knowledge of complex system architecture, including Cloud and Virtual Architecture.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, JavaScript, and JSON.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating environments.
- Familiarity with SDLC, Scrum, and Agile processes using Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with IT and networking component specification.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ADMS, OMS, GIS, AMI, or Meter Data Management Systems.
- Knowledge of Renewable and Green Energy projects including BESB, Microgrids, or EVMS.
- Hands-on experience with multi-vendor automation products from GE, ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Rockwell, OSI, or Oracle.
- Background in Cloud Architecture and Cybersecurity.
