Description

Lead the SAP–Vertex integration architecture for indirect tax determination across multiple geographies.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design tax calculation processes aligned with SAP FI, SD, MM, and S/4HANA tax frameworks.
• Define integration patterns, data mappings, and system flows including RFC, APIs, and O-Series connectors.
• Lead end-to-end Vertex implementation, managing tax rules, content subscriptions, and jurisdiction codes.
• Own integration testing (SIT, UAT, regression) and troubleshoot tax discrepancies and performance issues.
• Ensure compliance with global indirect tax regulations and support internal/external audits.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of SAP Finance experience with 5+ years in Vertex integration.
• Strong experience with Vertex O-Series (Cloud or On-Prem).
• SAP S/4HANA or ECC tax configuration expertise.
• Strong understanding of SAP SD/MM tax processes.
• Experience with tax procedure setup (TAXUSX/TAXINN/Tax Calculation Service).
• Knowledge of API/RFC integrations between SAP and Vertex.
• Familiarity with middleware such as CPI, PI/PO, or MuleSoft.
• Experience in global indirect tax (VAT, GST, Sales & Use Tax).
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in complex implementation programs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Agile/Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Ability to document end-to-end tax design and integration specifications.
