Description

You will architect the migration of a financial pricing application from JD Edwards to Azure, focusing on cloud-native and microservices-driven design.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices architecture, breaking down monolithic components into independent, containerized services.
• Evaluate and select database technologies (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Databricks) based on data structure, performance, and cloud integration needs.
• Define Kubernetes (AKS) orchestration strategies for high availability, auto-scaling, and workload optimization.
• Develop API strategies and implement API Gateways to enable efficient communication between microservices and external systems.
• Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines using DevOps best practices for seamless deployment and monitoring.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, cloud migration, and application modernization.
• Expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Databricks, and Azure API Management.
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, containerization with Docker, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems like Kafka and Azure Service Bus.
• Familiarity with JD Edwards ERP and integration patterns for cloud migration.
• Experience with CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep), and DevOps practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in financial pricing models, high-volume transaction processing, and performance optimization.
• Certifications in Azure Solutions Architecture, Kubernetes, or DevOps.
